How I Will Create Your Unique Writing Voice
What is the exact process I follow for ghostwriting and how can it make you a winner? Find out in this 2 minute read.
As your ghostwriter, I will write winning content for you and turn your personal branding vision into reality.
But more than that, I will write content that sounds like you.
I can capture your voice, your style, your personality. I can make sure that your readers will recognize and trust you as the author.
This is not something that every ghostwriter can do. Many ghostwriters fail to understand their clients’ true tone and end up writing content that sounds generic, bland, or inconsistent. They don’t bother to do the research, the interviews, or the revisions that are necessary to create authentic and credible content.
But not me. I have successfully mimicked the writing voice of many clients from different niches and genres. I have written content that reflects their goals, values, opinions, and stories. I have written content that connects with their audience and builds their brand.
Take Monique for example.
She and I talked for a few minutes and ended up working with each other for months.
I’ve even ghost-written her eight week long successful coaching program content for her.
But how can I write content that sounds like you?
How can I capture your voice, your style, your personality?
How can I make sure that your readers will recognize and trust you as the author?
Here are some steps that I follow to mimic your writing voice:
Interview you
The first step to get a sense of your voice is to talk to you directly. I ask you about your goals, your values, your opinions, your stories. I listen to how you speak, what words you use, how you structure your sentences, how you convey your emotions. I take notes or record the conversation for future reference.
Read your previous content
If you have published any content before, such as books, articles, blogs, or social media posts, I read them carefully. I analyze how you write, what topics you cover, what tone you adopt, what audience you target. I look for patterns and preferences in your word choice, sentence length, punctuation, humor, and so on.
Find your influences
Another way to understand your voice is to find out who or what influences you. I ask you about your favorite authors, books, movies, shows, podcasts, or any other sources of inspiration. I read or watch some of these sources and see how they affect your style and perspective.
Mimic your voice
Once I have a good idea of your voice, I try to imitate it in my own writing. I write a sample paragraph or page using your words, tone, and structure. I compare it with your previous content and see how close I am. I ask for feedback from you or someone who knows you well and make adjustments accordingly.
Add my own flair
While I want to match your voice as much as possible, I don't want to lose my own identity as a writer. I still need to add some of my own flair and creativity to make the content engaging and original. I find a balance between staying true to your voice and adding my own touch.
Mimicking your writing voice is one of the most important skills that I have as a ghostwriter. It's what makes my work authentic and credible. It's what makes your readers connect with you and trust you as the author.
But don't worry about me stealing your thunder or revealing our secret. I'm your faithful companion...of writing.
You get the idea.
Being a ghostwriter means being able to mimic your writing voice for any project and any client. But it also means being able to respect your authorship and privacy.
